This Ecuadorian Pamphobeteus spp. is very rare in collections. They grow to 20 cm leg spans and females are blackish-grey overall with a reddish-purple "V" marking behind their eyes and turn to a reddish-brown pre-molt. Mature males are stunning in an iridescent light violet "bloom" coloration in their femurs and a light pinkish-peach "V" marking and starburst pattern on their carapace. Spiderlings sport a beautiful orange abdomen with a unique black xmas tree pattern that is typical of Ecuadorian Pamphobeteus spp.
